Transformer & Transmission Conference 2019

The year ahead will see both a surge in the demand for electricity as well as an increased focus on renewable energy solutions.

Considering that, coupled with the fact that the global transformers market is set to grow to dizzy new heights, next month’s attendance at the Transformer & Transmissions Conference in London provides Wilson Power Solutions with a splendid opportunity.

Presenters and attendees at the conference include some of the most prestigious in the industry. This provides us with the perfect platform to showcase both our passion and knowledge for transformers and renewables as well as a chance to demonstrate how amorphous technology could revolutionise the transformer market.

Why Amorphous Technology?

Although there are those who are still sceptical about the benefits of amorphous technology, as pioneers of it in the UK, we wanted to put the myths to bed.

Having seen hundreds of successful installations of the Wilson e2 super low-loss amorphous transformer, we wanted to progress the technology even further.

Late last year, we introduced the Wilson e3 ( an ultra low-loss amorphous transformer ). Once again, it exceeded the EU Eco Design Directive for Transformer design specifications for 2021, meaning we are ahead of the curve for Tier 3.

The Wilson e3 avoids even greater levels of energy wastage through transformer losses, guaranteeing significant energy savings over its lifetime. As a result, your business should be on course to challenge the global energy ‘trilemma’ through the reduction of energy waste, operating costs and CO2 emission output.

Overall, amorphous technology helps to achieve savings both financially and environmentally.

Conference Agenda

Managing Director - Erika Wilson

Throughout the event, which spans over two days (12-13th March, 2019), lots of topical issues will be covered. From the future of the global energy landscape to insurance risk management for transformers, over fifteen guest speakers will deliver their experience and expertise.

Our role is to highlight how, because of higher voltage and current rates, more efficient power transformers are required.

There are tremendous amounts of pressure surrounding power transformers. The prime concerns are the efforts to reduce manufacturing and operating costs all whilst reducing transformer losses and abiding to environmental issues.

Luckily, our MD, Erika Wilson, will be on hand to reassure her audience that Wilson Power Solutions are responding to the demands of the market through innovative technology and developments.

Some of the areas on our agenda will be:

  • Introduction to the Wilson e3 Ultra Low Loss Amorphous Transformer: ‘staying ahead of the curve’
  • Amorphous metal technology advantages & myths
  • Highlights from customer case studies already reaping the rewards

Whilst there is a lot of technical input, we are confident that there are simpler ways of helping your organisation save energy in 2019.
