New appointment to the Board of Directors

We are delighted to announce Ayah Alfawaris' promotion to Group Marketing and Sustainability Director and her appointment to the Board of Directors, effective 1 September 2026.

Ayah joined Wilson Power Solutions in 2019 as a Marketing Executive, moved into an Energy Policy, Marketing and Business Development role the following year, and was promoted in July 2023 to Head of Group Marketing and Sustainability, a role that brought marketing and sustainability together under one umbrella across the UK and India. Over those seven years, she has shaped our brand identity, grown our exposure across the industry, and established the company's sustainability function from scratch. More recently, she has built and led the specification team, opening a wider business development focus that will be central to her new role.

In her new role, Ayah will bring strategic insight directly to the Board while taking responsibility for group-wide brand governance as the business continues its growth journey.

About Ayah

Ayah is an award-winning energy professional with a background in electrical engineering, sustainability and business. She has spent more than fifteen years in energy across four countries, starting in generation with solar and gas peaking plants before moving into distribution, and began her career as a solar energy engineer before moving into roles in the capacity market.

During her time with the company, our amorphous transformers have won three awards for their environmental impact, from Solar & Storage Live, the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, and the Association of Energy Engineers in the United States. Ayah also focuses on sustainable manufacturing by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving ESG performance.

She chairs the Sustainability Technical Committee at BEAMA, which brings electrical equipment manufacturers together to tackle shared sustainability challenges across the supply chain, and speaks internationally on climate change, energy, women in leadership and inclusion.
