Innovative and Reliable Distribution Transformers

Our wide range of distribution transformers is available up to 5MVA with high voltages of 6.6kV, 11kV, and 33kV and low voltages of 415V, 433V, and 690V (bespoke voltages are available). We offer amorphous (AMTx) or cold-rolled grain-oriented (CRGO) core materials and aluminium or copper winding materials.

All of our transformers comply with Tier 2 Ecodesign regulations for transformer losses as a minimum and are manufactured following internationally recognised standards (IEC & BS). Our distribution transformer offer consists of three main standard product groups:

• Wilson e4 Ultimate Low Loss Amorphous® Transformer with amorphous core and aluminium winding materials. This transformer is the most energy efficient in the UK, offering 27% lower losses compared to Tier 2 to satisfy the demands of modern distribution networks with efficiency and reliability

• Wilson T2 Ecotrans® Transformer with CRGO core and aluminium winding materials

• Wilson d2 (iDNO) Unit Type® Transformer with CRGO core and aluminium winding materials. Built following a unit-type arrangement with the HV and LV on the same side. These transformers are approved by multiple DNOs, allowing us to service the iDNO and ICP markets.
