Richard’s sons Dennis & Colin join RWD (short for Richard Wilson DenCol) and the business expands to offer refurbished pumps, used for oil pipelines
1984
Wilson Works, a former RAF aircraft hanger and our present day headquarters is acquired
1985
The company enters the transformer business following a tender on a Scottish oil rig closure
1989
Dennis’ son Simon joins the business
1994
Power & Distribution Transformers Ltd is formed
1997
Colin’s daughter Erika, our current Managing Director, joins the business
2007

Launch of Wilson e2 Super Low Loss Amorphous® Transformer, UK’s first amorphous transformer
2011
The business is renamed to Wilson Power Solutions Ltd
2015
65kW Solar PV system installed to power our Westland Works site covering 30% of our electric needs

Launch of Wilson e3 Ultra Low Loss Amorphous® Transformer
