Wilson Power is Awarded Fastest Growing Large Buisness in Yorkshire

Wilson Power Holdings Limited has been named the Fastest Growing Large Business at the Ward Hadaway Yorkshire Fastest 50 Awards 2026 in partnership with The Yorkshire Post, cementing the company’s position as the region’s standout industrial success stories.

Our managing director, Erika Wilson, Finance Director, Dennis Sorbie and Head of Marketing and Sustainability, Ayah Alfawaris, accepted the award on Friday, 20^th March 2026.

The award, presented as part of the annual Fastest 50 programme, recognises companies across Yorkshire that have achieved the highest average turnover growth over the past three years. Ward Hadaway confirmed that Wilson Power Holdings Limited, our group company, topped the large-business category and ranked second overall for growth in the region with 69.13% growth rate over three years (2021-2024). The Fastest 50 Awards, held in Leeds, celebrate sustained growth among privately owned businesses, with rankings compiled independently from public financial data and performance metrics. The list includes fifty fastest-growing small, medium and large businesses with a turnover of £1m – £10m for small, £10m – £35m for medium and over £35m for large businesses.

Strong growth in a challenging climate

Wilson Power Solutions has experienced rapid expansion driven by increasing demand for energy infrastructure and low-carbon technologies. They have recorded significant growth in turnover, placing them among the top-performing large enterprises in the region.

The growth reflects wider trends in the UK energy sector, particularly the transition to net zero. Wilson’s transformer products play a key role in enabling renewable energy projects, electric vehicle charging networks and battery storage systems, areas that have seen accelerating investment in recent years.
