Wilson t2 ecotrans distribution transformers at broaditch battery energy storage system (bess)

11MW/22MWh Broadditch BESS

The Broadditch Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is an 11 MW/22MWh project located in Kent, UK, developed by Harmony Energy Income Trust plc (HEIT). Energised in March 2023, it utilises six Tesla's two-hour Megapack 2XL batteries and is managed through Tesla's AutoBidder software for autonomous trading and operational control. This system enhances grid stability by storing excess energy during low demand and releasing it during peak periods, supporting the UK's renewable energy integration efforts.
