Coventry University

In collaboration with consultants Turner & Townsend, Coventry University has developed a comprehensive decarbonisation plan. This strategy involves assessing all university operations and reviewing existing buildings, technologies, and future energy needs to create a low-carbon environment that equips students with the knowledge and skills for a sustainable future. Maximising their carbon, energy and financial savings, the University of Coventry opted for our most efficient transformers at the time, the Wilson e2 Super Loss Amorphous® Transformer and Wilson e3 Ultra Low Loss Amorphous® Transformer. These assets go beyond the regulated transformer losses (Tier 1 and Tier 2). To ensure the university's efficient and reliable power supply, we designed both transformers with bespoke voltages to support the 6.6kV supply.
