Gestamp is a Spanish multinational company specialising in the design, development, and manufacture of metal components for the automotive industry. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Madrid, Spain, the company is known for its expertise in hot stamping technology, which allows for the creation of ultra-lightweight, high-strength steel components that improve crash resistance while reducing vehicle weight.

Gestamp UK operates several manufacturing plants across the country and supplies major automotive manufacturers such as Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan, BMW, and Ford with advanced lightweight and high-strength metal components, including body-in-white (BIW), chassis, and mechanisms. In the UK, Gestamp has facilities in locations such as Wolverhampton, Newton Aycliffe, and Llanelli, among others, where it focuses on advanced manufacturing processes and research into sustainable automotive solutions.

Gestamp UK plays a significant role in supporting the transition to electric vehicles (EVs), working on lightweight structural components that enhance EV efficiency. The company also invests in sustainability initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and implement greener manufacturing processes in line with global industry trends. We supplied two of its sites in Durham and Wolverhampton with three CRGO and amorphous transformers to help run their plants efficiently. In particular, the Wilson e2 Super Low Loss Amorphous® Transformers contribute to Gestamp's aspiration to cut manufacturing emissions as they reduce energy waste and electricity bill costs.
