GRIDSERVE EV Charging Hub

GRIDSERVE continues to lead the way in sustainable transportation with its state-of-the-art EV charging hub at M5 Junction 30, a site powered entirely by 100% renewable energy sourced from hybrid solar and battery farms. As part of this pioneering project, Wilson Power Solutions supplied a 1250kVA, 11000/415V Wilson e3 Ultra Low Loss Amorphous® Transformer, ensuring an efficient and reliable energy supply for the hub.

The Wilson e3 transformer is specifically designed to minimise energy losses, making it an essential component in delivering sustainable power solutions. This unit is equipped with a circuit breaker featuring VIP410A protection and a 2000A 12-way LV feeder pillar on a steel structure, supporting the hub’s extensive EV charging infrastructure. By integrating ultra-low-loss transformer technology, GRIDSERVE enhances operational efficiency and reduces overall energy wastage, further supporting the UK's drive toward Net Zero emissions.
