A Historical campus with modern facilities, Heriot Watt University, is conscious of its responsibility to retain a stable and secure energy supply. The university aims to achieve Net Zero operational emissions by 2035. Despite the significant growth of its largest campus in Edinburgh, Heriot Watt outperformed the carbon reduction targets set by its carbon management plan, where they report emissions performance annually under the national public bodies Climate Change Duties (PBCCD) reporting process.

The university's emissions scoping aims to reduce electricity transmission and distribution losses from Scope 3 emissions. Our low-loss transformers help the university reduce these losses. We supplied Heriot Watt with multiple super low-loss transformers to advance decarbonisation.
