Hoplass Solar Farm

Hoplass Solar Farm is an operational solar photovoltaic park located near Rhoscrowther in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The project occupies approximately 19.4 hectares and has a 10 megawatt (MW) capacity. The farm is situated to the southeast of a proposed wind farm site and near the Valero Oil Refinery. The surrounding area includes other renewable energy installations, such as a solar farm at Wogaston Farm.

To replace five transformers at this Welsh solar farm, our transport partners Collett & Sons Ltd assisted in removing the old transformers, using a Marooka Crane Vehicle to access the remote plinths. Five new bespoke 1700kVA 33kV/400V Wilson T2 Ecotrans® Transformers were installed in their place to ensure the renewable energy site continues to run efficiently and effectively, producing energy from the sun to supply the local area with clean power.
