Moto Wetherby

Moto Wetherby Services, located on the A1(M) at junction 46, features a GRIDSERVE Electric Super Hub equipped with 12 high-power chargers, making it Yorkshire's largest public ultra-rapid charging facility. These chargers can deliver up to 350kW, allowing electric vehicles to add approximately 100 miles of range in less than 10 minutes. To accommodate various EV models, the chargers offer both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors. Additionally, two extra-large charging bays have been designated as accessible. All chargers are powered by 100% Net Zero carbon energy, accept contactless payments, and provide real-time status updates to popular EV charging maps. Beyond the 12 high-power chargers, the site retains three medium-power chargers equipped with CCS, CHAdeMO, and AC connectors, bringing the total number of charging units at this location to 15.

Scope of Work	1250kVA Wilson e3 Ultra Low Loss Amorphous® Transformer with LV cabinet

We welcomed the Ashridge Engineering Limited team to our Leeds factory to see firsthand their Ashridge 852 WTI & OTI unit fitted onto a 1250kVA Wilson e3 Ultra Low Loss Amorphous® Transformer going to a GRIDSERVE Electric Super Hub at Moto Wetherby. This market-leading 852 Series continuously calculates the winding temperature (hot spot) and the oil temperature and precisely displays the data on the screen. The extensive Ashridge range includes alarm relay output, data logging, a wide range of CT inputs, dual display and an intelligent cooling control system with ‘deviation from normal’ alarms to ensure optimal asset life and protection for the transformer. The transformer is connected to an LV feeder pillar and an MV switchgear.
