Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce Holdings plc is a British multinational company renowned for designing, manufacturing, and servicing power systems for the aviation, marine, and energy sectors. Established in 1904, it has evolved from luxury automobile manufacturing to focusing on advanced propulsion technologies. Rolls-Royce is a key supplier to global leaders in the aviation industry, such as British Airways, Emirates, and Lufthansa. It also serves military customers like the UK Ministry of Defence and supplies advanced marine propulsion systems for both military and commercial vessels. Furthermore, Rolls-Royce’s automotive division, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, serves ultra-luxury customers globally, delivering high-end, custom-built vehicles.

In the UK, Rolls-Royce has several key manufacturing and research facilities. The company’s headquarters are located in London, but its main engineering and production operations are spread across the country. Notably, Rolls-Royce has a major facility in Derby, where it produces aero engines, including some of the most advanced models used in commercial aviation. The company also has a significant presence in Goodwood, where Rolls-Royce Motor Cars manufactures luxury automobiles. The company’s facility in Bristol focuses on advanced propulsion technology, while other sites in the UK are dedicated to producing engines for the defense sector and providing maintenance services. These facilities contribute to Rolls-Royce’s leadership in high-performance engineering and manufacturing.

Nobody can compare to Rolls-Royce when it comes to reputation and prestige. Their engines, automobiles, and power systems are synonymous with quality and innovation. The company's reputation for quality and reliability is also reflected in its solid manufacturing operations. A strong HV network, supported by Wilson Power Transformers, enables the reliability and resilience of their power supply.

Over the past decade, we have supplied multiple Rolls-Royce sites with forty-six distribution transformers. The specifications vary from standard stock to bespoke voltage, windings, and ratings of both CRGO and amorphous transformers. Our engineering team worked with industry-leading contractors to custom-design and build these transformers to suit different Rolls-Royce site needs.
