SCHÜTZ (UK) Ltd., established in 1990, is a subsidiary of the German-based SCHÜTZ Group, a leading manufacturer in the packaging industry. Located in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, the company specialises in the production and reconditioning of Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) and polyethylene (PE) drums. The Worksop facility commenced IBC production in its founding year and expanded its services in 2003 by adding a reconditioning plant, offering a closed-loop system for packaging solutions. In 2007, the company began producing the F1 PE drum, an innovative and globally recognized tight-head plastic drum. Currently, the facility employs over 125 individuals dedicated to the production and reconditioning of SCHÜTZ containers.

In February 2023, SCHÜTZ UK enhanced its Worksop site by installing a new multi-layer extrusion blow-moulder for producing IBC inner bottles. This addition allows the company to offer eco-friendly packaging products, including Green Layer PE drums and Green Layer IBCs, which incorporate a high content of recycled materials.

Mitigating production downtimes is non-negotiable in any successful manufacturing industry. We supplied the site with two Tier 2 compliant 1500kVA 11kV/433V Wilson T2 Ecotrans® Distribution Transformers to ensure a reliable and efficient power connection for years to come for this industrial plastic packaging manufacturer. Ipsum managed the project, completing a well-organised installation and very tidy cabling.
