The University of Manchester's transformer testing facility is one of the most advanced facilities in the UK. It is designed to conduct high-voltage testing of transformers, ensuring they meet industry standards and performance criteria.

With a focus on energy and an ambition to reach Net Zero by 2038, the university installed some low-loss transformers, known for their carbon and energy savings through our long-term partners at ENW. We designed the transformers with bespoke voltages of 6.6kV/41V to accommodate the local energy network supply.
