Owls Hatch Solar Farm is a 49.9-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) power project located near Canterbury in Kent, England. Spanning approximately 213 acres, the ground-mounted solar array was commissioned in March 2015 and supplies enough clean energy to power around 12,600 households. The project was developed by British Solar Renewables (BSR), which also served as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor. In September 2016, BSR sold Owls Hatch Solar Farm to Cubico Sustainable Investments, a company backed by a Canadian pension fund. Despite the change in ownership, BSR continues to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the site. The solar farm features PV modules supplied by Hareon Solar Technology, each with a rated capacity of 260 watts. The project operates under the UK's Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROC) scheme, having been connected to the grid during the 1.3 ROC build-out phase.
